Jodi, so glad you re-introduced yourself with this first post. I’d caught you somewhere mid-journey and had no clue as to why you’re writing about all the beauty you encounter in the world. Thank you. And bc it’s an homage to your mother, more beautiful still. Your photos are always so exquisite and bring a calm with them. Thank you for this lovely post today. I really needed it.
It seems you are following a hallowed literary tradition in the manner of The New Yorker's Letter from Paris or Letter from Munich or Letter from London and you can mention beautiful things and anything you observe or think about or want to say. A new way to keep an old tradition going. And it's a great way to remember your Mom going forward. And maybe some time you write a novel with a lady hero who ends up traveling like you within the plot of the novel. Lots of possibilities. These pictures are so great! Thanks for a great post. Looking forward to reading future ones.
What a beautiful way to honour your mother. It is so lovely to know a little of the context you are writing from. It sounds like it was an extraordinary trip and you’ve already given me some ideas of new places to visit.

Oh, thank you Jeanine! We all need a little beauty today. 🧡
